Tour Itinerary
DAY 1: OTP Bucharest airport – Bucharest: 10 km
A little relaxing walk through the old city center, Strada Lipscani and a very interesting church of Saint Nicolas where is believed that while your praying miracles happened.
Dinner at CARU’ cu BERE one of the most important restaurants in Bucharest, often used by the Romanian politicians and scholars in 1800’s and early 1900’s.
DAY 2: Bucharest – Sinaia: 127km
In Sinaia we are going to visit the crown jewel of the Romanian royal family, Castle Peles , considered one of the most beautiful castles in Europe, construction finished just a little bit before the WW1 under the supervision of the 2nd kin g of Romania Carol I. Right next to it we have Castle Pelisor ( little Peles) build in the same time , construction that have the “signature” of Queen Maria helped by one of the most important architects of the time Karel Limahn , check architect schooled in Berlin and end up working for the Habsburg family for more than 3 decades.
Half mile down the road from the two castles we have a very interesting monastery from the 17th century erected by one of the most important noble families, Cantacuzino, the same one who built in Bucharest the first hospital/ lab for research on health care field.
In the afternoon a dinner at Taverna Sarbului.
DAY 3: Sinaia – Bran – Brasov: 85 km
On our third day, we’re going to focus on the medieval castles, fortresses, and towns. Bran Castle, according to Bram Stoker, the house of the most famous vampire in the world Vlad III Dracula.
A little walk around through the souvenir market over by castle and then lunch in a traditional restaurant.
Candle light tour in Brasov, one of the most beautiful cities in Transylvania, and dinner at another typical Romanian restaurant.
DAY 4: Brasov – Sibiu: 145 km
The fourth day will find us traveling to Sibiu, together with Brasov, two of the most important cities on the southern border of the Austrian – Hungarian empire. Sibiu is considered the most romantic Romanian city, perfect for walks and shopping. The afternoon of day 4 will find us walking through one of the most spectacular, if not the most spectacular, museums in Romania: Bruckenthal Museum. The afternoon will find us walking through the Small, Middle and Big Square on Sibiu’s downtown, followed by a traditional dinner.
DAY 5: Sibiu – Curtea de Arges – Poenari – Curtea de Arges: 170 km
At Curtea de Arges , used as capital/headquarters by the Vallahian royalties in the past and the Romanian royal families most recent , is the home of a very interesting monastery built between 1515 to 1517 by Neagoe Basarab, where today are “resting” almost every single member of our royal house, Vallahian, and Romanian .
The 2nd part of the day will find us traveling to Poenari, the real house of the King Vlad III Dracula , a medieval fortress built after 1456 on top of a mountain 1400 m above the sea level , a place where the king would spend time to rest in peace after a hard battle against his enemies, the Ottoman Empire.

DAY 6: Curtea de Arges – OTP/ Bucharest: 165 km
Last day in Romania, back to the airport.
